Thank you, my students,
for your earnest work! Performing in studio recitals is only one part of your required participation. Listening to each performance in the recital group acquaints you with many composers, compositions, musical styles, and invites you to make observations about interpretation, tone color, technique and pacing in performance. Most importantly, listening to all the performers in your recital group allows you and your parents to return the courtesy of providing an audience for all performers. If you cannot remain for your entire recital group please let me know well in advance, as you will be excused from participation in the recital. Focused listening is a potent educational tool from which involved parents, as well as students benefit! Thank YOU for making each of our recitals a success! |
